Job description

We are seeking an experienced Head of DevOps & Infrastructure to lead the design, development, and maintenance of a scalable, secure, and reliable IT infrastructure. This role will oversee the full lifecycle of IT systems, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS, cybersecurity, DevOps, and IT operations, with a strong leadership background in managing high-load systems.

Job responsibilities

Infrastructure& Cloud Management:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure solutions using AWS.

Oversee IT systems' full lifecycle, from technical architecture and infrastructure engineering to operations and support.

Manage and optimize database infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

Implement monitoring tools and best practices to track system health, transactions, and performance trends.

Lead incident response efforts to quickly and effectively address infrastructure and security incidents.

DevOps & Security Integration

Work closely with software development teams to integrate infrastructure, DevOps, and security best practices into the development lifecycle.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation tools to improve efficiency and system reliability.
Ensure compliance with Singapore’s information security regulations and international security standards.
Design and oversee cybersecurity infrastructure, including Security Operations Centers (SOC) and risk management strategies.

IT Business Processes & Vendor Management

Develop IT business processes within the company and in collaboration with partners/clients.
Manage relationships with infrastructure and cybersecurity vendors, ensuring optimal solutions and services.
Optimize IT costs while maintaining high system performance, security, and compliance.

Leadership & Strategy

Mentor and lead a team of infrastructure and DevOps professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Track infrastructure issues and performance metrics to identify trends and implement systemic improvements.
Stay updated with emerging technologies, cybersecurity threats, and industry best practices to drive innovation and efficiency.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

Professional certifications such as ITIL, COBIT, PRINCE2, AWS, or security/DevOps certifications.

Minimum 10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing infrastructure and DevOps teams.

Proven experience managing high-load, high-availability systems in a cloud-based environment (AWS preferred).

Strong expertise in IT security, risk management, and compliance with industry regulations.

Experience developing and implementing company-wide information security policies.

Knowledge of integration with government systems and regulatory frameworks.

Excellent negotiation skills and ability to manage relationships with external service providers.

Strong leadership, team management, and strategic planning skills.
